Proposed Updates
to the AlaskaCare Defined Benefit Retiree Health Plan
The public comment period opened May 12, 2023 and closed on June 16, 2023 at 4:30 p.m. However, please note that the Division of Retirement and Benefits (Division) and the Retiree Health Plan Advisory Board (RHPAB) are always accepting comments from the public. You can submit public comments to the RHPAB at any time by emailing .
The Department of Administration, Division of Retirement and Benefits, is working with the Alaska Retiree Health Plan Advisory Board (RHPAB) to review the following proposed updates to the AlaskaCare Defined Benefit Retiree Health Plan:
- Update to the Lifetime Benefit Maximum
- Addition of Supplemental Non-Emergent Surgery and Travel Benefits
- Addition of Virtual Physical Therapy and Musculoskeletal Care
