Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) Retirement Process

This seminar is designed for PERS Tier I members hired between 1/1/1961 - 6/30/1986, Tier II members who entered service between 7/1/1986 - 6/30/1996, and Tier III members who entered service between 7/1/1996 - 6/30/2006. The interactive session covers the retirement process, Voluntary Savings Plan, eligibility, vesting, service and benefit calculations, early and normal retirement, increasing service credit, survivor options, retiree insurance options, after retirement increases and the timing of benefits.

Teachers Retirement System (TRS) Retirement Process

This seminar is designed for TRS Tier I members hired between 7/1/1955 and 6/30/1990 and Tier II members who entered service between 6/30/1990 and 6/30/2006. The interactive session covers the retirement process, eligibility, vesting, service and benefit calculations, early and normal retirement, increasing service credit, survivor options, retiree insurance options, after retirement increases and the timing of benefits.
